Three Predictions for 2024

These are uncertain times. 2024 is going to be wild!

But it’s likely to be wild in a good way for you, if you’re prepared. Here are my predictions

1) We’ll see the start of AI-fueled boom that's reminiscent of the dotcom era

If you’re too young to remember the 90s, here’s a quick rundown:

A new technology disrupted the world as we know it. It made all kinds of new businesses and startups possible. It involved skills that anyone could learn in a matter of weeks. Investors piled in.

Call me nostalgic, but this sounds a lot like what Artificial Intelligence is doing right now. Don't fall for the hype, but be sure to take advantage of it.

2) Social Media will be the new SEO

When you do a search for the best way to grow roses, you're no longer just given a link to the gardener's blog.

Instead, Bard pulls up the information you want. There’s no need to read the blog.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is becoming obsolete, and this sucks for bloggers who rely on SEO for their income.

Luckily, savvy gardeners (and this applies to all businesses) already have a way around this: A strong presence and a loyal fan base on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

If you’re in any kind of business, or want to be, social media will be your best friend in 2024. Build your following now.

3) Your personal brand will be your biggest asset

We now have AI generating content designed for algorithms. It’s a machine that’s writing and making videos for other machines.

You’ll be rewarded for refusing to be a part of this madness. Instead, be yourself. This is the key to standing out in 2024.

In fact, you should be playing your strengths. This usually means becoming a more authentic version of you. The person you would be if you lived fearlessly.

In uncertain times, most people look to courageous leaders. And I suspect there's a courageous leader in you.

So let me ask you, what dreams have you deferred? What big, hairy, audacious goal are you putting on hold?

2024 is the year to go after it, and do it publicly, so your potential clients can see who you really are. Not only will they do more business with you, they'll be cheering you on.

There's going to be a lot of upheaval in the next 12 months, with mostly positive outcomes. But it's upheaval just the same, and you should be ready to take advantage of it.

2024 is the year you'll grow wildly successful by putting your personal goals and values first.
